Synchronized Swimming

Minimum age limit Under review by FINA. Will be determined at the FINA Bureau meetings in July 2013.
Age determining date The actual age of the competitor as of December 31, 2014.
Age Groups Solo and duets events: Under review by FINA
Team events: 20-34; 35-49; 50-64; 65-79; 80+
Free combination: 20-39; 40-65 and over

For Duet, Trio (under review by FINA), Team, and Free Combination events, the age is determined by the average age of the competitors.
Entry restrictions Athletes may enter no more than three (3) routine events and one Free Combination.

All Duet, Trio, Team and Free Combination competitors must represent the same club. Each club may submit up to a maximum of five (5) routine entries per age group per event.

Each club may enter one (1) Free Combination in each age group.
Team members Each team may consist of a minimum of four (4) to a maximum of eight (8) members. One half point will be deducted from the final score for each member less than eight (8).

The Free Combination may consist of a minimum of four (4) to a maximum of ten (10) members. No points will be deducted if they are less than ten (10).
Medals Medals will be awarded to 1st to the 3rd place in all events in each group (each member of a Duet, Trio, Team and Free Combination will receive medals including reserves).
